(PATOKA) - The 12 annual “Wheelin’ IN the Fish” will be held at Osborn Boat Ramp, Patoka Lake on Saturday, September 21 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
This free fishing event promotes the accessible features of Patoka Lake for participants with special needs and their families.
Whether confined to a wheelchair or any other circumstance that doesn't allow them to live alone, bring those folks out to join us for free fishing, free boat rides and free lunch.
If you work for a nursing home, group home, or in home health service- (or have family members in one of these facilities) get your patrons outdoors and into the fun/
Everything they need will be provided from fishing poles to tackle and refreshments too.
The Department of Natural Resources (DNR), Patoka Bass Anglers, and Southern Indiana Center for Independent Living (SICIL) host this annual event.
Bring lawn chairs, sunscreen, insect repellent and enjoy the day at Patoka Lake. Certificates and door prizes will be awarded to all participants.
Osborn Boat Ramp is located off Highway 145 just 2 miles north of the State Rd. 164 intersection and 14 miles south of French Lick, Indiana. Watch for the signs.
