(LINTON) - A warrant was issued late last week for the arrest of 25-year-old Brandon Lee Kendall, of Linton, on preliminary charges of two counts of theft.
Now he is facing more charges after officers were called to Regions Bank about a man attempting to cash a questionable check.
Police went to the bank Monday and arrested Kendall on the warrant.
Now he is facing additional charges of four counts of forgery and one count of burglary after he admitted to forging the signature on the check that he took out of a vehicle parked in a garage that he broke into.
According to police, Linton officers began investigating a break-in to a garage on August 3. Kendall allegedly stole a lawn mower and weed eater.
The owner went to a yard sale and found the stolen lawn mower and called police. At the same time another resident who had a lawn mower stolen found his at the same yard sale. According to police, Kendall allegedly sold the stolen items to the person having the yard sale who didn't realize the mowers were stolen.
