(PATOKA) - Indiana Conservation Officers arrested 55-year-old Kevin Slemensek, of Indianapolis for boating while intoxicated Sunday evening.
According to a police report, Slemensek was operating a 2000 Starcraft pontoon boat in the Lickfork area on Patoka Lake, and was initially stopped for speeding in a restricted area.
After failing field sobriety tests, Slemensek was transported to Jasper Police Dept where he tested .16 on the BAC Datamaster.
He was transported to the Dubois County Jail, where he was incarcerated for the charges of boating while intoxicated with a BAC over .15, and boating while intoxicated.
Indiana Conservation Officers want to remind boaters to have a sober driver when boating.
