(LINTON) - A man who allegedly stole a lawn mower from the Linton Walmart over the weekend was quickly apprehended and the lawn mower recovered thanks to officers from the Linton Police Department, Bloomfield Police Department and the Greene County Sheriff’s Department.
According to the Greene County Daily World, 37-year-old Jason Lindy, from Odon, is accused of leaving the store around 2:30 a.m. Saturday with a Snapper mower valued at $267. Lindy allegedly loaded the mower into a red and black 1994 Blazer and left the area.
The lead investigator, LPD Officer Paul Clark, reported Lindy's Blazer was stopped by GCSD Deputy Jeff Brown and the stolen lawn mower was returned to the store by GCSD Deputy Bobby Pierce.
Lundy was taken to the Greene County Jail on a felony charge of theft. He posted a $400 cash bond and was released from jail.
A Bloomfield officer and two other Linton officers also assisted in the investigation.
