(BEDFORD) - Two people were arrested Tuesday night on drug charges after Bedford Police were called to the Rosemount Motel after a report of a fight.
22-year-old Lacey Barlow, of Oolitic, was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
25-year-old Cory Stinson, of Oolitic, was charged with possession of a schedule IV controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.
According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley officers received a call a 911 call at 11:41 p.m. reporting a fight and that one person was injured and the other had a crow bar.
Parsley says, the fight started after Stinson's wife found him sitting in the car with another woman - Stinson. The woman then took a crow bar and broke the window in the vehicle. That is when Stinson and Barlow attempted to leave.
When police arrived the fight was over and Barlow and Stinson were attempting to leave in the vehicle.
Officers stopped them and that is when Stinson got out and walked to the back of the car.
Parsley says Stinson was stuffing a clear plastic baggy in the license plate light area. Officers discovered the baggie contained a schedule IV controlled substance.
Officers then searched the car and found drug paraphernalia and marijuana.
Barlow and Stinson were then arrested. The woman was not arrested because Barlow and Stinson didn't want to press charges.
