(BLOOMINGTON) - One of rocker John Mellencamp’s two sons has turned himself in to the Monroe County Jail to face charges, but the singer’s other son is still at large.
Speck Mellencamp, 18, surrendered to authorities Friday morning. Officials are still waiting for Hud Mellencamp, 19, to turn himself in.
Officials at the Monroe County Sheriff's Department said they expect Hud Mellencamp will not turn himself in until sometime Saturday, because he has to fly in from somewhere.
The teens are facing battery charges after their reported involvement in a July fight in Bloomington that seriously injured another person.
Monroe County Prosecutors filed formal charges Thursday.
Speck Mellencamp bonded out of jail Friday afternoon.
