(SALEM) - According to Salem Police Officer Tim Miller, it was an unusual traffic incident which could’ve been serious, even deadly.
According to the Leader Democrat, the accident happened Tuesday around 3:45 p.m. on Old State Road 60.
As Katherine Cole, of Campbellsburg, drove along, a wheel flew off her 1995 Chevy Astro Star.
The wheel, which broke off from the center cap, says Miller, hit a Mustang parked in the Quick Lane parking lot shattering the back window.
According to Miller, fortunately, nobody was in the vehicle and the incident didn't take place on a busier roadway.
Miller credited Cole for controlling the vehicle and getting it off the roadway and into a parking lot safely.
