(FORT WAYNE) - If Bedford’s trend of playing outstanding and intense baseball continues, then the team should pull off a win tonight in the Junior League Central Regional semifinals.
The Bedford 13 & 14-year old All-Stars, the Indiana state champions, improved to 4-0 and earned a No.2 seed and a day off prior to the single-elimination championship round that starts Thursday afternoon by stopping North Dakota, 8-4, Tuesday night at Georgetown Little League in Fort Wayne.
Kentucky is also 4-0 and garnered the No.1 seed based on run differential, with Indiana the No.2 seed, Iowa (3-1) at No.3, Michigan (3-1) at No.4, Illinois (3-1) at No.5, and Ohio (2-2) at No.6.
The championship game, which decides who moves on to the Junior League World Series in Taylor, Mi., is slated for 6 p.m. tonight. Bedford will begin play at 2 p.m. streamed live on 1340 AM WBIW as well as Super Oldies 105.5 FM with Steven Gillespie on for the call. You will also be able to listen live right here on WBIW.com.
