(WASHINGTON) - Around 10:20 a.m. Monday morning, the Washington Police responded to a report of an adult female shoplifter at the Dollar General Store in the West 50 Plaza.
Employees told police that 56-year-old Kathy Jo Balthus of Wheatland had paid for some items but had walked from the store with $40 in merchandise she had not paid for.
Balthus was arrested on a charge of theft and taken to the Daviess County Security Center.
She was released on $2,500 bond.
