(BEDFORD) - 34-year-old James Langley was arrested Sunday afternoon after he stole items from the emergency room at IU Health Hospital.
Langley, of 921 Eighth St., was charged with theft, public intoxication, resisting arrest by force and possession of a legend drug.
According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley, officers received a call reporting that Langley, who had been treated in the emergency room, had left the hospital with a bag that contained a number of medical items, including forceps, scissors and bandages.
Officers found Langley on 16th Street near Central Avenue.
When questioned by police, Langley became irate.
Officers arrested Langley.
Police took Langley to the hospital so personnel could identify him and the items that were taken.
Langley remains in jail this morning. His bond is set at $755 cash or $7,500 surety.
