(BEDFORD) - Bedford Public Library, located at 1323 “K” Street, celebrates September as Library Card Sign-up Month with a Library Scavenger Hunt.
Children may pick up a playing sheet in Children Services, find the items, and then turn in the sheet for a chance to win a free book.
Children who use their library card during September at Bedford Public Library may choose a backpack, bag, collapsible flying disc, or dog tags as a prize. Visit Children Services to get the prize. Limit one prize per child.
Also, Bedford Public Library and Lawrence County Cancer Patient Services present a coloring contest for ages through 11 to promote breast cancer awareness.
Six winners will be chosen from three age groups on Wednesday, October 2nd.
Winners each receive a nice bag full of prizes.
