(BROWNSTOWN) - A federally funded project to improve conditions for pedestrians in the area of Brownstown’s pool and park has picked up momentum.
Grant consultant Shannon McLeod recently told town councilmen the long-delayed project likely will be completed this year, although some of the landscaping work may not occur until spring 2014.
The project, funded by a $250,000 congressional grant, would see a sidewalk installed along the north side of Bridge Street from the entrance of the town pool west to the entrance to the town park.
