(DAVIESS CO.) - The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office says after a year and a half investigation into a meth distribution organization arrested 15 people, 11 from Washington.
The investigation was initiated by the Daviess County Sheriff's office and investigated with the Drug Enforcement Administration and Indiana State Police.
That investigation resulted in a federal grand jury indictment and arrest warrants issued out of U.S. District Court in Evansville in conjunction with arrest warrants issued by the State of Indiana out of Daviess County Superior Court.
The warrants were served in Washington; Coldwater, Mississippi and Los Angeles, California.
Law enforcement seized about two pounds of crystal meth, marijuana, cash and firearms.
Those arrested on federal warrants for conspiracy to distribute over 500 grams of meth were 43-year-old Alan Marshall; 34-year-old Marcus Newson; and 43-year-old James Coy, all from Washington, 41-year-old Christopher Kimmons of Coldwater, Mississippi and 36-year-old Antoin Alston of Long Beach, California.
Arrested on federal money laundering charges were 55-year-old Haven Ramsey and 56-year-old Ruby Ramsey of Washington and 68-year-old Barbara Kimmons of Coldwater, Mississippi.
Facing state charges of conspiracy to distribute meth over three grams are 26-year-old Adam Tolbert, 47-year-old Rhonda Lewis; 34-year-old Jennifer Sandoval; 47-year-old Jeffrey Fox; and 32-year-old Eunica Lesure, all from Washington.
Arrested on state charges of conspiracy to distribute meth over 3 grams and marijuana over 30 grams was 23-year-old Leroy Ellis of Washington.
43-year-old David Merritt, address unknown, as arrested for being a fugitive from justice.
