(BLOOMFIELD) - Eastern Greene County Superintendent Ty Mungle and the Eastern Greene Board of School Trustees have agreed to go their separate ways.
In a meeting Monday night, the board voted 5-2 to accept a "Separation Agreement and Release" for Mungle, effective immediately.
The Greene County Daily World reports, Board President Mike Adams would not release details of what was included in the agreement.
Mungle has been superintendent since June 2008.
Mungle would not comment on the incident.
Mungle and some on the board have been at odds on a contract extension since last November. In June a vote on Mungle's contract deadlocked on a vote of 3-3 and one abstention.
The board will be looking to find a quality interim superintendent to step in.
