(BLOOMINGTON) - A would-be robber would have stolen a Bloomington man’s bag Friday night, but rather than surrendering, the victim pulled a knife on the robber.
The 20-year-old told police the attempted robbery happened around 10 p.m. The victim was walking home and was behind Best Buy, on East Third Street, when the robber approached him.
The robber, described as a black male in his late 20s or early 30s and who was about 5-foot-10 tall and was wearing baggy jeans and a gray or brown T-shirt, told the victim to drop his backpack.
The victim refused and then pulled a knife from his backpack and the man fled without stealing anything.
Anyone with information about the would-be robber is asked to call Bloomington Police.
