Dig For Archaeological Artifacts At McCormick's Creek

(McCORMICK’S CREEK) - Dig into the past at McCormick’s Creek SP on Sunday.

Visitors to McCormick's Creek State Park can view archaeological artifacts, bring their own artifacts for identification and participate in flintknapping and atlatl throwing at a special event Sunday.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the nature center and is presented by the White River Valley Archaeological Association.

Activities also include exhibits of excavation equipment and documents and information about site recordation and preservation.

Standard entrance fees of $5 per in-state vehicles and $7 per out-of-state vehicles will be charged.
