(CANNELTON) - A Mitchell couple were seriously injured after a motorcycle accident in Perry County Sunday.
Stanley and Connie Lindsey were flown by helicopter to the University of Louisville Hospital.
According to their son, Bedford Police officer James Lindsey, the couple were riding their three-wheeled Harley Davidson motorcycle on State Road 66 when the incident happened around 12:54 p.m. Sunday.
According to the couple that were riding with Stanley and Connie, an approaching vehicle came around a curve and cut it too closely. The vehicle clipped the back wheel of the motorcycle causing it to flip, throwing the couple from the bike and knocking them both unconscious.
Connie suffered two broken wrists and had surgery Monday. Stanley is in the intensive care unit with a broken right shoulder, broken ribs and a collapsed lung. He also has some bleeding on his brain.
