(BEDFORD) - Volunteers gathering items for a rummage sale at the First Christian Church found a number of prints done by famed local artist Nelson Sears.
The Times-Mail reports that Sears, born in 1905, was a Bedford High School graduate who became one of Lawrence County's most prolific artists. The prints are dated 1976.
Church member Ron Bell says the prints are some of Sears' last works.
The prints will be sold during the church rummage sale today from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The church is located at 1101 15th Street.
