(SOLSBERRY) - A 16-year-old Bloomfield girl suffered minor injuries when she lost control of her vehicle Wednesday evening and hit a rural Solsberry home.
Greene County Sheriff's Department Deputy Jeffrey Brown reports that Gianni Cardin was driving a 2003 VW Beetle north on State Road 43, just off of State Road 54, when she lost control due to her unsafe speed and loose material on the roadway. Her vehicle hit a residence at 1222 State Road 43 about 7:30 p.m.
Deputy Brown says no one inside the home was injured and the vehicle did minimal damage to the residence.
Cardin, who was wearing her seat belt, complained of pain and had abrasions from the airbag. She was taken by Greene County Ambulance to IU Health Bloomington Hospital for treatment.
Assisting at the scene were other personnel from the Greene County Sheriff's Department and Center Township Fire Department.
