(BROWN CO.) - Two men were arrested on drug charges early Saturday morning following a traffic stop in Brown County.
Brown County Sheriff Rick Followell says around 1:15 a.m., Deputy Nathan Tompkins stopped a vehicle at State Road 135 and Christiansburg Road.
Deputy Tompkins checked the men's identification and found that the driver, 32-year-old Jesse West of Nashville, had a suspended driver's license with a prior conviction of driving while suspended.
His passenger, 21-year-old Kameron Anderson of Columbus, had a warrant out of Bartholomew County for failure to appear on charges of marijuana possession.
The deputy found inside the vehicle three packages of what appeared to be synthetic marijuana and a glass pipe. He also found a metal pipe in West's pocket.
West was arrested for maintaining a common nuisance, possession of a synthetic drug and paraphernalia, and driving while suspended prior.
Anderson was arrested for visiting a common nuisance, possession of a synthetic drug and his warrant.
West's bond was set at $6,500. Anderson's was set at $4,000.
