(WASHINGTON) - Two Washington teens were injured in a hit-and-run accident Monday night.
The Daviess County Sheriff's Department received a 911 call reporting the accident on County Roads 150 West and 150 North at 8 p.m.
According to police, 17-year-old Jeann Legg, of Washington, was driving south on Country Road 150 West and was rear ended by a green Toyota which then fled the scene.
Witnesses were able to provide police with a license plate of the vehicle that fled and it was located on John Street.
29-year-old Aye Myint admitted to being the driver and that she fled because she was scared.
Both Legg and her passenger 15-year-old Morgan Chapman were taken to the Daviess Community Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
