(WASHINGTON) - Washington City Firefighters battled a blaze at a vacant home in the 400 block of North Street early Monday morning.
According to Fire Chief Dave Rhoads, the vacant home, owned by Daniel Schnell, of Schnellville, had no utilities.
Chief Rhoads says the fire was contained to the front porch but a small unattached shed was destroyed by the fire.
Firefighters are unsure if the shed fire was a separate incident that led to the house fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Firefighters were on the scene for about two hours.
