(WASHINGTON) - A Washington man was taken to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville following a possible drunk driving accident on Saturday.
Michael Searl, 34, was in a one-vehicle accident at the intersection of S. Meridian Street and Darnell Drive around 6:20 p.m.
According to a report by WAMW-FM, witnesses saw Searl's car head northbound on SR 57 and was ready to merge on Meridian Street when the car hit a utility pole, a tree stump and then overturn. The car then traveled 196 feet and then stopped at 1 Darnell Drive.
Searl was trapped and had to be extricated. He was taken to Daviess Community Hospital where he was tested for alcohol. He registered at .15 BAC.
An accident report is being completed by city police. Charges have not been filed.
