(UNDATED) - The Centers for Disease Control says domestic violence continues to be a big issue across America.
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
The latest figures show that it's the leading cause of injury to women between the ages of 15 and 44.
The Indiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence cites 62 domestic violence deaths in Indiana from July 2011 through June 2012.
That figure remained unchanged from the prior year.
Executive Director Laura Berry says domestic violence is usually about power and control, especially in adult relationships.
