(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man was arrested Sunday after police found him with a stolen moped.
According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley, officers arrested 35-year-old Carmon Vincent at 5 a.m. on charges of vehicle theft, attempted theft, criminal mischief and public intoxication.
Parsley says the moped was taken from the rear of the Rosemount Hotel. A witness was able to give police a description of the man and the moped.
Police located Vincent pushing the moped. The man and the moped matched the description of witnesses.
The man was stopped and was positively identified by the witness as the man who took the moped. The owner of the moped also had a second set of keys which fit the moped.
