(BLOOMFIELD) - A Bloomfield man, who’s had several brushes with the law in the past, is in trouble again, this time from behind bars.
30-year-old Jason Haywood is accused of stealing $10 from another inmate while both were in the Greene County Community Corrections program.
Haywood appeared in Greene Circuit Court Wednesday for an initial hearing and was charged with theft.
According to police, an inmate was preparing food in the dayroom of the Community Corrections facility and left his change jar and other items on a table and when he returned from getting his food out of the microwave some of his money was missing.
The inmate asked Haywood about the money and he denied having it but later gave the money back to the inmate. A petition was filed in court to modify Haywood's placement and he was transferred back to the Greene county Jail
