(BLOOMINGTON) - A 67-year-old Bloomington man died from injuries suffered in a three-vehicle accident Friday morning.
Officers were called to the crash at 10:40 a.m. near North Kinser Pike and State Road 45-46 bypass.
Cecil Cain died at IU Health Bloomington Hospital from blunt force trauma.
According to police, Cain was driving a Buick LeSabre and was traveling west on State Road 45/46 bypass and was attempting to make a left turn to travel south on North Kinser Pike when he pulled into the path of a Ford F250 and was hit on the passenger side.
The impact caused both vehicles to slam into a Ford Explorer, which was stopped at the intersection in the northbound lane of North Kinser Pike.
The names of the other drivers have not been released and the crash remains under investigation.
