(BLOOMFIELD) - A Fort Wayne man was injured after he crashed his vehicle into a tree early Monday morning.
52-year-old Kevin Ferguson suffered head lacerations and foot pain and was taken to IU Health Bloomington Hospital for treatment.
According to Indiana State Trooper John Yung, Ferguson was traveling northeast on State Road 54 and was approaching a curve when his 2011 Subaru SUV left the southwest side of County Road 625 East and then ran off the right side of the roadway. The SUV traveled down an embankment and hit a tree head-on.
Ferguson told an officer his right front tire ran off onto the shoulder and he was unable to recover control of the vehicle.
Assisting at the scene were the Greene County Ambulance Service, Greene County Sheriff's Deputy Brad Deckard and the Center Township Fire Department.
