(MARTINSVILLE) - A Martinsville man has been arrested after a fatal shooting Sunday.
Police arrested 49-year-old David Carrender, of Martinsville, on a preliminary charge of murder.
Police were called to the 6600 block of Crooked Creek Drive in Martinsville on the county's northeast side around 8:30 p.m. Sunday.
When police arrived they found one man dead from a gun shoot wound.
Investigators are looking into a domestic situation that may have prompted the shooting.
The name of the man who was killed has not been released pending the notification of family members.
