Two Hurt After Vehicle Crashes Into Tree

(BEDFORD) - Two Springville women were injured when the driver tried to avoid hitting a deer and crashed into a tree Thursday night.

According to a Lawrence County Police report, 22-year-old Jerrica Keith, of 212 Sieboldt Quarry Rd., was traveling east on Pinhook Road when she swerved the 2008 Mazda she was driving to avoid hitting a deer.

Keith lost control of the vehicle and went off the right side of the road and hit a tree.

Keith and her passenger, 27-year-old Lisa McFadden, of 136 Sieboldt Quarry Rd., both complained of pain.

Assisting at the scene were an IU Health Hospital ambulance and Shawswick Volunteer Fire Department.
