(BLOOMINGTON) - Evansville-based Vectren Energy Delivery is offering extended call center support hours in October.
Customers can call 1-800-227-1376 from Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for customer service. They can also call Saturdays in October from 8 a.m. to noon.
The extension comes in a month that's traditionally very active, as natural gas customers reconnect gas service in preparation for winter or ask about energy assistance programs.
The company is also encouraging income-qualified customers in Indiana to call 1-800-872-0371 to find a community action agency and apply for financial assistance through the state's Energy Assistance Program. That program is for customers with gross household income at or below 150 percent of the federal poverty level -- $35,000 for a family of four.
And Vectren is encouraging customers to apply for residential weatherization programs. Those programs are for customers at or below 200 percent of the federal poverty guidelines, or about $47,000 for a family of four.
