(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington Police were called to IU Health Bloomington Hospital Sunday after a 15-year-old girl reported she had been sexually assaulted.
According to Bloomington Police Sgt. Joe Crider, a 15-year-old girl said she and two friends went to an apartment on the city's south side November 15 to visit a male acquaintance.
The victim and the man, who is in his early 20s, then went into a bathroom, where the man forced her to engage in non-consensual sexual relations.
The victim then immediately left the home with her friends.
She later told her parents about what happened and she was taken to the hospital on November 17 for a sexual assault examination.
Crider says the case remains under investigation.
