(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man was arrested after police found meth and marijuana in his vehicle Monday night.
23-year-old Jared Reuter, of 204 The Woods, is facing charges of possession of a controlled substance, dealing meth, possession of meth, maintaining a common nuisance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and dealing marijuana or hashish all within a 1,000 feet of a day care.
He was arrested after officers received a call of a man possibly passed out in a truck parked in the 3500 block of 16th Street. According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley when officers arrived they knocked on the truck window to wake Reuter.
"When he rolled down the truck window they smelled the distinct odor of marijuana," Parsley says. "They also noticed a pill bottle filled with a green lefty substance which tested positive for marijuana."
When asked if there was more marijuana in the vehicle, Reuter told police there was.
Reuter was arrested and during an inventory of the vehicle police found several more containers of marijuana and meth and pills.
