(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man was arrested Sunday for stealing a flat-screen television and tools from a home construction site.
31-year-old Steven Coffin, of 206 Redman Drive, was arrested and charged with theft and burglary.
According to a probable cause affidavit, the burglary was reported on August 5th at a home in the 900 block of Patton Hill Road.
The homeowner found a ladder leading to an open window with a ripped screen.
The homeowner discovered several electronics were missing.
Police then spoke to a woman about the missing items and she told them that Coffin, had used her car with out permission and had some of the stolen items in the vehicle.
She then alleged she told Coffin she didn't want the articles are her home and took them to a home across the street.
Officers found some of the items at that home.
