(BLOOMINGTON) - A 45-year-old Bloomington man was arrested on charges of aggravated battery, strangulation and residential entry after he allegedly forced his way into a man’s apartment and then strangled and stabbed him Tuesday.
The 33-year-old victim was taken to Indiana University Bloomington Health Hospital after suffering a 4-to-6-inch laceration to his left bicep.
Bloomington Police officers responded at 2:14 p.m. in the 1800 block of South Walnut after a man reported 45-year-old Ronald Walker forced his way into the caller's apartment, grabbed him by the neck, choked him and then stabbed him with a knife.
Walker told police he believes the victim was stealing items from him and he did not force his way into the apartment. He also told police he could not recall stabbing the man.
