(BEDFORD) - Fall property taxes are due Tuesday.
Lawrence County Treasurer Paula Stewart reminds taxpayers payments postmarked or made in person after Tuesday will automatically incur a penalty.
The office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. The courthouse will be closed on Monday for Veterans Day.
Taxes can be paid with credit card in the office or by calling 800-809-5849. There is a 2.95 percent fee on all credit card transactions, the company gets the fee, the treasurer receives only the tax amount.
Residents can also pay their taxes on line at www.lawrencetax.net.
The Treasurer's Office will be closed five days following Tuesday to process paperwork and will reopen on November 20th.
