(BLOOMINGTON) - A Phoenix, Arizona man was arrested early Saturday morning after the stole a sandwich and walked away without paying for it.
According to Bloomington Police Sgt. Dana Cole, officers were called to the in the 200 block North College Avenue at 1:10 a.m. after a clerk at Hilton Garden Inn told police a man walked into the hotel lobby, took a sandwich and walked away without paying for it.
When asked for his room number, he gave a false number. The clerked determine the man was not staying at the hotel.
A hotel attendant followed the through the hotel that is when 34-year-old Kevin Richard Grimely grabbed the attendant by the wrist and tried to kick him.
Grimely was arrested and charged with theft, public intoxication and assault.
