(WASHINGTON) - A three-car accident sent one person to the emergency room and disrupted traffic on East National Highway, Friday afternoon.
According to a Washington Police Department report the accident happened at 2:05 p.m. Friday.
Police say Anthony Fellers and Ashley Sims, both of Washington, were traveling west on East National Highway, near the intersection with S.E. 7th Street, when they slowed for traffic.
Mary Mattingly, of Washington, was also traveling west, but did not stop in time and hit the rear of Sims' Oldsmobile with her Jeep Liberty.
Sims car was then pushed into the rear of Feller's Sunfire.
A female passenger in Feller's car just had surgery and complained of abdominal pain at the scene. She was checked at the scene by EMS, and then transported to Daviess Community Hospital.
No one else was injured in the crash.
