(BEDFORD) - The Salvation Army is looking for bell ringers for the traditional red kettles around the community.
Donations provide Christmas dinners, clothing and toys for families in need. Financial assistance also helps with basic necessities year round in Lawrence County.
"This is a time when people can promote their business and strengthen community spirit among employees," says Salvation Army Captain Donna Ross.
She is asking businesses to agree to coordinate volunteers using their staff to cover a block of time to ring the bell at one of many locations throughout the city.
The kettles will be out daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. excluding Sundays beginning Friday through Christmas Eve.
If you or a business is interested contact Ross at 275-5429 or 583-3965 or email her at rose@salvationarmy.org to reserve at time and place to ring the bell.
