(BEDFORD) - Three people are in the running for the vacant seat on the North Lawrence school board.
Those three are Ben Kimmel, Sam Martin and Jamie Nikirk.
All three will be interviewed by school board members Thursday night.
One will fill the vacancy following the death of Wendell Nikirk on October 9.
School Board President Gary Holmes says the public can sit in on the interviews but cannot provide any input during the session.
The interviews will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the NLCS Administration Building. That work session is sandwiched between two closed executive sessions. The first executive meeting will begin at 6 p.m., and the second will follow the interviews, allowing board members to consider the information provided during the interviews in determining which finalist will be appointed.
