(LINTON) - Two men were arrested after they allegedly entered a home in Linton Saturday morning and beat a man, putting him in the hospital.
The man suffered several abrasions, contusions, swelling and a broken nose and a concussion.
Police arrested 30-year-old Jared Rush of Lyons and 28-year-old Ryan Wilson of Sullivan on felony charges of battery resulting in serious bodily injury and residential entry. Both will appear in Greene County Circuit Court this morning for an initial hearing.
Police are also looking for Rush's ex-girlfriend, who had spent the night in the victim's home.
According to Linton police the two men allegedly entered the man's home without permission and hit and punched him repeatedly. Officers were called to the Greene County Hospital and alerted to the beating.
The victim told police that he woke-up around 9 a.m. Saturday to the sound of someone knocking on his door. When he answered he found Rush and Wilson standing on his porch. The men was looking for a woman and wouldn't leave until they spoke to her. The victim told the men the woman was not there, but then agreed to go get her. The victim attempted to close the door and that is when one of the men prevented him from shutting it and both entered the home.
When Rush did not find the woman he hit the victim in the face knocking him down onto a couch. Then both of the men began repeatedly punching him in the face and body.
After the beating the victim screamed at the men to leave, the woman entered the room and threatened to call police. The men fled. The victim then asked the woman to leave and the victim called a family member to take him to the hospital.
