(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man was arrested after police found meth and pills in the vehicle he was driving Friday night.
24-year-old Michael Norman, was arrested on charges of possession of meth, possession of a schedule II controlled substance and public intoxication.
According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley officers were called to the parking lot of Hoosier Hills Credit Unit after a report of a man passed out in a vehicle.
When police arrived the vehicle was running and officers attempted to wake Norman.
Parsley says Norman woke up, but appeared to be intoxicated. Officers also noticed a glass pipe, associated with smoking drugs beside him in the vehicle.
Officers also saw some pills, and a baggie filled with a white substance that later tested positive for meth.
Parsley says Norman could barely stand and he was arrested. He posted bond Tuesday and was released from jail.
