BEDFORD - An e-Reader allows a person to transport a whole library of books in a handheld device, and books can be downloaded from the Bedford Public Library at no cost.
The selection of eBook readers, such as the Amazon Kindle or the Nook, is wide, with some basic models starting around $50.
Many readers want a touch screen. With a touch screen, the reader turns pages with just a flip of the finger, almost like flipping pages in a printed book. Some readers also wanted a lighted screen to enable reading in the dark.
