(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington Police arrested 37-year-old Benjamin Koch Monday night after being called to a home in the 1300 block of West 12th Street.
Police says Koch and a woman, who were both drinking and wrapping presents, got into an argument that turned physical.
The woman told police, Koch strangled her in front of a 5-year-old boy.
He was arrested on charges of battery and strangulation. He was also wanted on a warrant for a probation violation.
