(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man was arrested after a Lawrence County Police officer on routine patrol caught him breaking into storage units on U.S. 50.
According to Sheriff Sam Craig, when the officer approached the U.S. 50 Storage Units, he noticed a pickup truck loaded with items.
The officer stopped and talked to 33-year-old Kyle Chenault, of 26 Greenwood Retreat Road.
A detective was then called to the scene.
Chenault was arrested on two counts of burglary. Other charges could be possible.
"Detectives are currently investigating to determine which units were broke into. There were several padlocks missing from units," Craig says. "Anyone who has a unit there should check it out and if they discover their unit was broken into they can contact us."
