Last updated on Monday, December 9, 2013

(WASHINGTON) - Washington Police arrested a Vincennes man early Sunday morning following a nearly 90-minute foot chase.

Officers pulled over a car on West National Highway around 1 a.m. Sunday when one of the car's three occupants jumped out and began running.

Five Washington police officers, a reserve officer, plus two Daviess County Sheriffs Deputies and city's K9 unit "Diesel" were involved in chasing 20-year-old Cody Davis.

Davis ran towards Dewey Avenue, at the Super Wash on Highway 57 South, then to Southview Trailer Court, an area behind Prairie Village, and then to Wal-Mart before officers captured him.

Davis was arrested and is facing four counts of resisting law enforcement.

He was also arrested on an outstanding Knox County warrant for a petition to revoke a suspended sentence for burglary and theft.

The other two occupants in the car were not arrested.
