(BETHANY) - Indiana Conservation Officers Investigate ATV Accident-Morgan County that happened Thanksgiving day.
At approximately 10 a.m. 71-year-old Danny Miller Sr., of Brooklyn, was driving an ATV on private property in the town of Bethany and while attempting to maneuver up a steep hill, Miller lost control of the ATV, causing him to be thrown from the vehicle.
The ATV then rolled on top of Miller.
Miller was transported to IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis for back and rib injuries.
Police say Miller had limited experience operating an ATV and was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
Indiana Conservation Officers strongly encourage riders to always wear a helmet and necessary safety equipment when operating an ATV.
