(GEORGIA) - A Mitchell man was arrested after Lawrence County police received a complain of a man out of control at a home on Davey Cox Road Friday night.
According to Lawrence County Sheriff Sam Craig, officers were called to the home around 6 p.m.
"The caller told dispatch he had left the home because a man was out of control," Craig added. "Officers met with the man and they returned to the home."
When they arrived officers heard a gun fire and that is when 32-year-old Jean Tylor, of 122 Bone Rd., came out of the home with a shot gun.
"Officers asked the man several times to put the gun down, but he refused," Craig says. "He then went back into the home and came back out without the weapon."
Tylor was placed in handcuffs and officers entered the home to make sure no one inside was injured.
"No one else was in the home," Craig says.
Tylor was then placed under arrest for intimidation with a deadly weapon, and possession of meth while in possession of a firearm.
"Officers found the meth when they searched Tylor's pockets," Craig says.
