(UNDATED) - While the Winter Weather Warning covering most of the Indiana State Police Jasper District continues to bring snow and sleet, motorists throughout the area have been using care while traveling in the area.
Reports of overnight and early morning vehicle slide-offs and crashes were minimal.
Additional snow accumulation, particularly from the Dubois County area north into Daviess and Martin Counties, caused periodic traffic incidents; however, no injuries have been reported in any of the events.
Main roadways throughout the District, including Interstates 64 and 69, and US 231, are partially covered and slick in some places, but are certainly passable.
Remember to slow down, increase the distance between you and the vehicle in front of you, and allow yourself extra time for your travels.
Snow and sleet continues to fall throughout the Jasper District, consisting of Dubois, Spencer, Daviess, Martin, Perry, Crawford and Orange Counties, with expected snow accumulation to continue throughout the afternoon. Being prepared and anticipating roadway hazards will make sure that you stay safe on Indiana roadways.
