(MITCHELL) - Lawrence County police arrested three people early Sunday morning after they received a call about a domestic fight at a home on Peaceful Valley Road.
"The caller reported there had been a domestic fight and that those involved had left in a vehicle and were in the area," says Lawrence County Sheriff Sam Craig. "Officers were able to locate the vehicle and stop them."
Craig says the caller requested a no trespass order be filed against one of the individuals in the vehicle.
While doing that, officers requested permission to search the vehicle.
The owner consented to the search and a K-9 unit was called to the scene.
After the dog alerted police to possible drugs, officers arrested 25-year-old Haley Turpin, of Mitchell, on a charge of possession of meth; 26-year-old Andrew Lawler, of Mitchell, for visiting a common nuisance and 33-year-old Cory Turpin, of Mitchell, for maintaining a common nuisance.
